Latest Nonsense

Some may think that producing new tactical elements means I want to hear a lot about it. Or about all this struggle in Washington. Yes, some things apparently have some meaning in relation to themselves, but I do not want to hear anything from Washington. I want to hear that the economy is being run well and how and why, and see that these statements are true and that they are truthfully and earnestly pursuant to the well being of all. The same goes for political and 'military' endeavors.

Earnestness has always been the law, and always will be. It pains me that disearnest programs have been espoused by certain politicians and media networks and other organizations.

Those who do dis-earnest things are not part of the picture.

I don't care which president does it. Anyone who is disearnest is out of my system.

Freedom

Freedom is the absence of compulsion and because compulsion is a form of discrimination, it follows that freedom is the absence of discrimination. A step further: freedom exists, logically, on the basis of justice and efficiency.

George W Bush

George Bush, I do not want your protection from peak oil.

Your methods of solving this crisis are evil. You shield the information from us, you decide to protect us by harming others substantially.

You do claim to try to protect America. But I do not care about protecting America if it means impoverishing and destroying the whole world. I do not care about your world war. You have brought far more war and far more poverty to the world when we all want less. Your answers are to slay until all problems disappear and everyone else is silent. This will never be the way of freedom, or the way of God.

I want peace. I want love. I want to use high technology that we already have to solve the oil , energy, political, and economic problems. Your 'war' method is awful. It kills millions and I want you out of my life.

You're fired.

Congressmen Don't Read Most Laws They Sign?

If our Congressmen are not reading it, I am not being represented.

I demand a refund.

In lieu of cash, I'll take back all my rights.

" Help us pass the
“Read the Bills Act” (RTBA)

You can read the text of RTBA by clicking the Draft Legislation tab above, or you can start by reading a summary of the legislation below. Following that summary is a description of our strategy for passing RTBA, and then a call to action.

Part 1: What RTBA does and why

Most Congressmen are lawyers, and many others are businessmen. They know what “fiduciary responsibility” is. For Members of Congress, fiduciary responsibility means reading each word of every bill before they vote.

But Congress has not met this duty for a long time. Instead . . .

  • They carelessly pass mammoth bills that none of them have read. Sometimes printed copies aren't even available when they vote!

  • Often no one knows what these bills contain, or what they really do, or what they will really cost.

  • Additions and deletions are made at the last minute, in secrecy.

  • They combine unpopular proposals with popular measures that few in Congress want to oppose. (This practice is called “log-rolling.”)

  • And votes are held with little debate or public notice.

  • Oh, and once these bills are passed, and one of these unpopular proposals comes to light, they pretend to be shocked. “How did that get in there?” they say.

There's a basic principle at stake here. America was founded on the slogan, “No taxation without representation.”

I am not certain if you're being facetious.

Public funded elections have been promoted, but the media gives these elements no airtime. The media is owned by these corporations. That is an active circuit of blame/control.

The American people are somewhat coerced and suggested into this system. Bush stole both elections. That is not the will of the American people."

US Casualties in Iraq Likely Higher Than Posted

It is very probable that the number of US military casualties in Iraq is substantially higher than the 2705 now tallied by the military. It seems that soldiers who do not die on the ground in Iraq are not considered part of this tally, including soldiers who die of their wounds while on helicopters or in American hospitals or bases, which may be considered American territory or extraterritorial. These casualties do not technically occur in Iraq and therefore are not counted as military dead in the Iraq war.

In Fall 2005, an official UN-standardized estimation of the war's Iraqi civilian casualties reported on NPR put the number on a bell curve between ~8,000 and ~200,000, with the highest degree of liklihood around 100,000 casualties, making that the official tally. This does not count houses that no longer have a door to knock on, or casualties indirectly caused by private violence or lack of services caused by the war's presence. As of publication this is one year old, and active military action has been continuing at a steady pace since then, with growing sectarian violence. If 2005 was about 2.5 years on, we can expect the civilian casualty level to have increased by 15-30% on top of that figure by this point.

The war has also cost us some $317B. Bush's initial educated estimates put the figure at ~$150B. He also said the war would be adequately won with 150,000 troops.

Bush planned regime change in Iraq before becoming president. The Downing Street memos indicate that Tony Blair and George Bush worked in collusion by the summer of 2002 to prepare a public route to war with Iraq. They may have used false intelligence to prepare this route. UK Ministers knew that wMD were an 'excuse'.

72% of US Troops say to end the war in 2006.

$8.8B were lost by Halliburton in Iraq. Billions of dollars to other vendors have been lost and fraud is rampant. Money is literally distributed in bags from the back of trucks. No meters were placed on Iraq's oil pumps until *2005*. No one knows how much oil was pumped from Iraq from spring 2003 until 2005. We also

George Bush has considered a dictator-style government for Iraq.

Saddam Hussein's wife said that the man we have captured is not Saddam Hussein. He also had numerous body doubles, making it difficult for us to assassinate him. The US swore not to assassinate state leaders as of 1963.

The White House has admitted that Iraq fuels extremism.

It has been shown that a large amount of money was allotted by the Pentagon to place pro-occupation media stories in Iraqi and American news. Editors have also given reporters difficulty when they appeared with stories critical of the war. A certain CNN news story showed footage of soldiers spending rounds and blowing up caves. A soldier involved in that 'action' returned and saw the footage, and said that it was target practice, a bogus bleached operation. They were firing at nothing and no enemies were there. The reporters who took the footage saw that there was nothing being fired upon. This is treasonous fraud.

George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld made speeches promoting harsher interrogation techniques in months before numerous torture scandals broke in Abu Ghraib prison, Guantanamo Bay, and also in Afghanistan. We have been accused and found guilty of of numerous massacres and substantial instances of military misconduct and war crime.

The US Senate failed to re-ban torture when the bill arrived. We also export prisoners to Israel, Syria and other nations to be questioned and tortured. Flight records show that we have established Eastern European prisoner bases for such interrogation and extradition.

George Bush told a series of Palestinian leaders that he believed God told him to invade Iraq. This is not representative of the Christian faith.

There has never been any evidence associating 9/11 and Iraq, nor Al-Qaeda and Iraq. For that matter, Osama Bin Laden has no ties to 9/11 backed by evidence of any kind whatsoever.

We used white phosphorus bombs on Fallujah. This story appeared in the international media the day it happened. However, it took one full year to break in America. We also refused to let military aged men leave the city for days before bombing it. White phosphorus is a chemical weapon banned by the UN.

Military Aged Men "MAM's" have been routinely as part of procedure strafed or killed without posing obvious threat in Iraqi towns cities and villages. If you are old enough to shave and young enough to stand up straight and a man in Iraq, you are a MAM and you can be killed on suspicion without provocation. Soldiers on NPR described events involving the killing of MAMs with assistance an A-10 for assembling to investigate some kind of blast hear in a village. This is war crime, and a killing of civilians.

We break the Geneva Convention routinely in Iraq by our published punishment procedures for holding prisoners of war. We will strip them of cover as a penalty and force them to stand outside at night in the desert, sometimes in underwear. Desert night temperatures can reach freezing. This is war crime, punishable by international trial in The Hague.

George Bush sent National Guard troops to Iraq. This is the first time they have been sent out of our national borders. They are trained in civilian matters and not designed nor prepared nor equipped to be on the front lines of a war. The month after, 4 hurricanes struck Florida. The ARMY dug them out.

Soldiers sent to Iraq went there without enough ammunition, using 1970's style flak jackets as body armor, without enough drinking water or medical supplies. Humvees were underequipped. They were also undermanned to accomplish the job they were assigned.

Numerous American military generals have chastized George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld on their work in the Iraq war theater.

When we invaded Iraq, UN inspectors were mid-action. They also had kept caches of weapons, including old WMD which were being disassembled by UN forces. When we told the UN to leave, they had to abandon these weapons dumps. We, American and Coalition forces, failed to guard these sites.

They were subsequently looted.

No WMD have been found in Iraq, except aged and decaying stockpiles dating from before the Gulf War.

Now UK officials have said that we plan to Invade Iran by 2007. Since then other indicators have shown that we are less likely to invade Iran.

American forces may have decentralized the Iraqi state purposefully to prevent them from organizing or becoming a strong state after the war. Numerous Iraqi cities and downs are basically run by Sargeants acting as Mayor of the town. The military controls the supply routes and the array of bombings keep this process stagnant. Disorganized towns and cities are unable to elect a strong central government to address national concerns, which are left to Americans.

Dick Cheney has said that Iraq is "about the oil". It is likely that peak oil will strike worldwide in 2008. When this time arrives, America will be in Iraq according to George Bush, who said threateningly that we will be in Iraq 'through 2008 and beyond' when we were called to pull out on other occasions. A wealth of independent research on peak oil is easily accessible on the internet.

Tactical solutions to Iraq have been demonstrated in plentitude. Almost none have been adopted. The administration remains highly secretive about the Iraq war and the war in Afghanistan. No connection between Afghanistan and 9/11 has ever been shown. The identities of the 9/11 bombers were produced on the same day as the attack. George Bush said right afterwards, 'Link this to Iraq'. The single item that links the planestrikes to Al-Qaeda is a passport found on the Manhattan street. The owner of this passport was purported to be on a plane striking the towers. He recently requested the passport. 9 of the 19 alleged hijackers are alive.

For more on the 9/11 incidents and pending charges in the events, visit www.everyotheramerican.blogspot.com

In Other News:

British soldiers have been found smuggling stolen guns out of Iraq for cash and cocaine.

Millions and millions of dollars were stolen by Israeli forces from the West Bank during the invasion, from banks and money exchange spots. This is war crime! The Nazis did this!

"What's your definition of culture, then, exactly? I'm beginning to think that we define the word differently."

"That's a very important question, Stef. Culture is the measure through which a society caters to the least fortunate man. The measure in which the sick, invalid, old or poor people are taken care of. In short, the measure of collective unselfishness." "But what has this got to do with immortality?"

The self-authentication of the state's statements is no longer automatically valid. This has been the case for decades and in particular since the dubious voting events of the 2000 and 2004 elections.

World Change

A serious change in world attitude and consumption are needed in the upcoming decade if mankind is to survive on the resources earth has for us.

We are facing serious and massive issues during this upcoming time period. Peak oil is expected to hit in 2008, along with its consequential economic forecasts. To meet this factor peacefully with enough for all, we should switch from oil to electric vehicles, and improve the fuel efficiency of vehicles substantially, more than 100mpg per vehicle. We can begin to use zero-point and water-splitting electrical generators right away. This will help development of rural and 3rd world areas for a low cost and reduce the amount of oil used and pollution generated. It will reduce the level of mutation and defertilization and improve world health and wellness.

The ocean's stocks have become ravishingly short and we risk major long-term damage to our sealife if we continue to use them in the way we do. We must change our fishing tactics immediately and begin to conserve and breed far more fish and sealife in fresh and saltwater farms. The average fish contains as much mercury as a mercury thermometer, says Sealab 2021. We can create undersea and estuary international parks to help conserve fish and provide safe breeding environments for them. This is a problem we face today that will run out of tread completely in the next 10 years.

We should arrive at a population of 7 billion people in the year 2010. This is not a problem in itself and life is a good thing. However, to accomodate for 7 billion people far more must be done to preserve the environment and increase efficiency and promote moral social integration. While we're providing for these people who aren't yet alive, we should provide for everyone who has already shown up. 'Overcrowding' is a silly term. It is as silly as overcrowding transistors on a computer chip. Our infrastructure and technological expression will need to reflect this if we are to continue to perform.

Global warming is a sign of other factors in the environment. While a change in earth's climate and its results is being experienced, it is the first card in a full house of potentially unpleasant environmental changes. Pollution is epidemic in many areas and substantially reduces health and increases the need for health attention. Many parts of China have coal smog so thick you would run away. We have more nuclear plants than ever and each of them purposefully spews untreatable and lethal radiation into the environment on a biweekly basis. We can fix all of these polluting archaicies with semi-modern clean technology.

These factors continuing and their combined effects in the same ~decade time span are a serious call for action and we must tactically do something so that everyone walks away from this one.

Revelations and the Armies of the East

Many people see the advent of Americans crossing the Euphrates as Biblical. This is not Biblical. They did this in 1991 as well. Revelations tells of the armies of the east crossing the Euphrates, and them drying up.

This plays to the water and environmental crisis going on in the world and the middle east. Will these riverheads be dammed or diverted for hydro power or croplands? Will China or India or another eastern power invade the Middle East? These days are yet to come.

If China came to dominate the world and their ways became hegemonous, they might try to outlaw Christianity or other world religions as they have in their own state. China should allow religious practice in their state, as it is the will of the people, and the will of God.

California Sues Automakers Re: Global Warming

"SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California filed a global warming lawsuit on Wednesday against Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp., Toyota Motor Corp. and three other automakers, charging that greenhouse gases from their vehicles have cost the state millions of dollars.

State Attorney General Bill Lockyer said the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Northern California was the first of its kind to seek to hold manufacturers liable for the damages caused by their vehicles' emissions."

If Detroit is found to have old functional and still current patents for items that produce substantially higher efficiency power than petroleum, there may be some serious $100-billion to $trillion level lawsuits on our hands. As well as from automobiles dating back to the 1950's and 1960's, depending on when the patents were acquired if it constitutes a "trust", or merely from the 1970's or 1980's or so, depending on smogging and health effects of post-combustate.

Car exhaust is smoke to entire urban regions. Los Angeles has a severe problem with smog, to the point that the view of the hills are obscured by particulate matter. These stagnated technologies also delay development of industry-level power sources and power plant consumption and pollution levels.

It may also be found that automakers refused a public transit system in order to sell more cars. This is frankly a kind of trust among auto companies, or possibly within a single auto company if their market share is great enough.

Which raises an important point. Can an automaker or a company become a trust by itself, if it is large enough? Can a company of a certain size depending on the market automatically be a trust, regardless of their economic activity, based on the laws of capitalism and standard industry business model? [this may be interpreted as a grand Biblical-level example of the rich puking on the poor, paraphrased from Revelations.]

Ireland Faces Suit over Surveillance Laws

The title article describes how the Irish government is being sued over laws that may user in surveillance techniques. This kind of lawsuit could be repeated in any Western Democracy and certainly will be examined in all states with upstanding judicial systems.

Founder of Chinese Democracy Party Released

"Chinese Democracy" is also the reserved name for the eventually up and coming Guns N' Roses album. It is also a party founded by Zhu Yufu in China called the Chinese Democracy Party. He was released after 7 years in prison including extensive torture and life-domination.

Democracy and freedom of speech are critical to any legitimate organized government, for the best interest of all humanity.

"My family now lives in poverty," he continued. "If I had not chosen this road that is full of blood and fire, with my intelligence and wisdom, I could have generated wealth for my family. Now even my future livelihood is questionable. But I do not have complaints or regrets; this is the road that I have chosen."
-Zhu Yufu

Yufu, I am glad that you have taken this path. You have helped improve the environment for millions or billions of humans, and may have prevented the arrest of hundreds of thousands by forming the party and affecting the Chinese culture. I advise the Chinese government to consider democratic reforms and Chinese to bring forward more efforts of this kind to improve the country and world and honor the Lord with love for one another.

Hugo Chavez

I am quite pleased with many of Hugo Chavez' initiatives, and his style of government is economically even handed. I must note numerous instances of his behavior and policy for the purpose of *improvement* of Venezuela, and its ability to speak to and improve the world.

I must refer Mr Chavez to a posting on www.weeklyworldthingy.blogspot.com about non-incendiary media. It does no good to simply make names for someone, no matter how much you dislike them nor what they do. We all know what justice is and when it does not happen it must merely be pointed out or recognized, and God will take care of the rest.

Furthermore, I invite you, Mr. Chavez, to provide for your people all the Constitutional and Bill of- rights for all your people, and to attempt to extend these rights to people all over the world. They are good rights, and the United States does a very poor attempt at interpreting them. I invite you to offer up your interpretation.

I invite you also to examine the energetic possibilities of Nikola Tesla's electrical systems and theories and to examine water splitting patents from the United States and internationally for scientific attempts at duplication. Billy Bunkie the Science Junkie is a good start to this.

If a Tesla-style electrical network were set up between Cuba and Venezuela, especially one that could reach American territory in Florida and provide it with free power to anyone on that frequency, it would be a more serious threat to the American economy than any level of armed conflict.

Budapest PM

I am disappointed that police used teargas on protesters over this grave topic. The prime minister of Hungary admitted he lied to get into office. It is time for this man to resign from office and for new special elections to be held, in which the Hungarian #2 is invited to run if he is not associated with this lie.

The people are right to protest. How can individuals express their dissatisfaction with government in ways that are nonviolent? Please examine www.civildisobediencedoneright.blogspot.com.

Drug Legalization

Drugs can be used sensibly. Some people say all things are good in moderation. I agree with this in many respects. Whenever drugs are used not in moderation, such as cocaine, refined from many many coca plants, or heroin, refined from lots of opium poppies, or certain engineered drugs designed to overstimulate your mind's chemical receptor points far ebyond their natural meanings, or an overdose of any drug not normally in excess, this is wrong. It is also wrong if a drug is used inappropriately frequently, as that is not moderation either.

Most drugs can be used safely in moderation. Some drugs should not be used or should only be used in certain formats to avoid medical consequence. It is actually healthy to drink a glass or two of red wine every day. It is also medicinally healthy to use marijuana in certain circumstances. Recreational use of alcohol and other drugs can have emotional and social benefits that produce a healthy immune system and encourage social bonding without excess.

When the ONDC makes anti-marijuana commercials it religiously offends people who have the Constitutional right to practice their spiritual path with the use of drugs and slights those who approve of adult aged consentual drug use, and makes a frank mockery of the argument to ban drugs. Imagine alcohol commercials featuring sloshed undersgae drinkers, those going to AA meetings before age 21, or alcohol related auto crashes. Yes these things are horrible and should not occur, but it should also be known that alcohol can be used safely and reasonably by of-age adults.

Chinese Mandate

China could potentially change to improve their service to God. There are those living in China who serve Jesus Christ, and they are among the just. The Chinese government relies on a system of the mandate of heaven, which comes from God.

If China did what was wrong, torturing or arresting people for loving God, their mandate from heaven, God's perfect justice, would be ripped from them. And if a horrific regime comes to rule the world, the world will truly deserve it and the good will be whisked to their just location.

May China change from its evil ways and protect the environment from coal and nuclear waste, give decency to all the world's humans, and improve their reflection of God's love for all.

Letter to the George Bush and Massachusetts Senators

to:
George W. Bush (R)
Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA)
Senator John F. Kerry (D-MA)
Representative Marty Meehan (D-MA 5th)

Maybe you should know what is contained in this website.

www.receiptforlabor.blogspot.com

We know that inflation is actually ~8% and not 2-3%. We know the tactics used by economists to make the economy look good. We know that the unemployment rate is actually substantially higher than ~5-6%, and that among those who are employed, a large percentage are underemployed or plain underpaid, that weekly compensation has decreased, that average salary has risen '3/10 of one percent per year during the past 25 years', which is beat by the above stated inflation and on beat top of that by the cost of living, increasing apace of inflation for over a decade.

It would be wise to raise the minimum wage.

It would also be wise to adjust global politics, enact fair trade for 3rd world workers, shift away from oil policy and peak oil scenarios and stimulate non-oil technology geared for oil replacement, eliminate nuclear plants, recall the military from most major foreign assignments, restore taxes for the rich, replace spending on education and healthcare which have been cut ~25% or more, shore up American individual credit, even though debt is 'profitable', replace political fundraising with a flat public stipend for electioineering, and obey international treaties and agreements.

Also, ban torture. America is forever shamed that its state failed to ban torture. Fortunately, international agreements and the Geneva Convention and the 8th amendment made by our Forefathers already bans it.

And there shall be no draft. A real war would have real supporters. A draft is in violation of the 4th amendment and against the fundamental and inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The GOP

Frankly, I am not a Republican, but I do agree with some of the Republican party's ideals. They like a civil state of law, as do I, among other things. But I recognize that many in the Republican party are being roped into extremely aggressive politics and strategies that not all of them choose. It is inappropriate to vote republican without examining your candidate. An independent or democratic or 3rd party candidate might actually be closer to your views. Parties are shifting.

The Republican party is threatened broadly by the World Trade Organization. Many WTO rulings are not in the interest of the average Republican party member. This is also the case with the NSA. Many Republicans respect the 4th amendment and do not want to see it broken even by the state. Many also enjoy the right of the 1st amendment and do not want that right stifled at campaign events or have voicing their reasonable opinion score them a spot on a state list. As well many GOPers agree that the media plays a critical role, and even if they support the wars or the troops, the media should be asking tough questions about it as well as about the discrepancies of 9/11, and would like to see them do so without state hinderance and to hear more from the Secretary of State and other officials with the media about the state and plans of the nation on topics they choose.

Even if you believe what the state says, you should demand the rights you were given by your forefathers.

The Draft

A draft will never stand.

The non-military portion of this draft procedure would be an excellent program independent of a military. I believe it should be performed through a non-military draft of the unemployed and those who would choose to voluntarily serve with the state on humanitarian and civil service goals.

However, the use of violence should not be supported, and armed conflict is wrong. No one should be forced or coerced into armed conflict, and the United States and other nations should not rely on armed conflict as a method of securing what they desire.

The Constitution gives every American the [inalienable] right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and says every man is created equal, so everyone has this right, even non-Americans. We should be working to extend the protection of this right to everyone everywhere.

Is it a violation of the right to privacy to be drafted? We cannot be forced to put up the military in our homes, why do we have to be forced to put up in the military's home?

A real war would have real supporters. It is wrong to force people to come and fight when they choose not to, what will they be fighting for? They will be greenhorns, standarounds, people who would not choose to fight, who have been forced to fight. Clay pidgeons.

We should rely on the UN and the ICRC instead of The Draft.

Olbermann and Viva La Mexico

Keith: "More over, Mr. Bush, you are accomplishing in part what Osama Bin Laden and others seek — a fearful American populace, easily manipulated, and willing to throw away any measure of restraint, any loyalty to our own ideals and freedoms, for the comforting illusion of safety."

In Bush's speech, he said that a failed Austrian painter published a book in which he planned to make an Aryan superstate in the nation of Germany and exact revenge on Europe and eradicate the Jews. I note that the Project For a New American Century was penned in 1998[?] and stated rebuilding America's military with a Pearl Habor-like event [publicized at about the time the movie "Pearl Harbor" came out, actually] adjust our laws, and gain access to world resource and oil especially. So has it been proceeding. Numerous cabinet officials and the Vice President Dick Cheney signed and wrote this document. It is no Declaration of Independence.

I am also interested in the outcome of the Mexican Judicial Branch's decision on the election campaign. I pay attention to the statement by the reformist that he plans to make a 'parallel' state. I wonder what this means.

NSA Terms and Conditions

""Suppose for example the president obtains intelligence that a nuclear bomb was planted ... right there in Washington, and the only way he was going to find out whether that was going to happen was to grab the person and interrogate him," Coppolino said in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. "Would that be in his constitutional authority? I would say so.""

This is called a standard arrest with standard warrant situations. If he has non-specific intelligence saying that there is a nuclear device planted in Washington, that does not give him a warrant to detain anybody, nor to use 'advanced interrogation practices'. This is a totally unexceptional 1776 arrest.

I am also dismayed at the very concept of 'secret detainment'. This principle is illegal even for non-Americans. The Constitution says "all men are created equal". This means that all humans are created equal, not only Americans. And as equal humans, they all are provided a copy of the American Bill of Rights and Constitution. Law enforcement is a matter of jurisdiction. Rights are international, and indeed global. All American law enforcement personnel and officials associated with the state and its legal and founding documents should make treaties and laws and agreements and use their full power to support these legal rights for all humans everywhere, according to the American Constitution.

All those detained have the right to habeas corpus. They have the right to ace their accusor. Non-military individuals, according to Geneva IV, meaning civilians who are forced to take up arms but whom haven't yet had time to form outfits, and not necessarily 'terrorists' planning to strike in a covert manner, such as those who were on the planes crashing into the WTC, regardless of their backers, and other bombers, are not militias. They are non-defending assault teams and are arguably paramilitary and can conceivably face court martials, although this should be taken on a case-by-case basis through a civil judge, who would decide the case's status as civilian or military with open evidence, and then the advanced trial would begin. Normally, plain law details whether the defendant is civilian or military, and this could probably best be described or decided by the UN or ICRC rather than a national government. Civilian resisters, such as those in groups in Iraq, are militias and cannot be detained except by Geneva IV.

Quite a quandary, how to try publicized terrorists in a secret court, or hold them secretly. Why should we do this? What possible wiretapping or intelligence advantages do we need to maintain and keep a secret? How long do secrets last? Not long. It is wrong to classify someone as a military agent just to keep your surveillance tactics a secret.

According to this report, state and private companies are planning to use microphones secretly embedded in cable boxes and other public goods since the late 1990's to spy on Americans.

We have excellent intelligence. We do not need to hide our intelligence abilities. They are so great that publicizing our intelligence abilities might have a more positive effect than hiding them. Eschelon has the ability to listen to any electronic communication on the globe. We could pick up a cell phone call on Jupiter. Literally. It's not a joke. We hear every cell phone call on earth if we want to. All radio attenae re-broadcast a low wattage of the signal they receive. We can use this to detect what radio station is being listened to on an estimated 'any radio anywhere'. We have advanced space probes. We use this technology on earth as well.

We can see through your luggage in color. We can see through your clothes in color. You can find a picture of your house online taken from a satellite. Some nations are collecting DNA samples and fingerprints of all humans. Your fiscal data is worldwide, profiles are being created. The entire web has been crawled and is continually examined by robots. Keylogging viruses are rampant and likely the tools of the state as well as data miners. Every piece of registered software has a backdoor that the FBI mandates in order to be licensed. Linux, being open-source, does not. Linux 2 won't either.

This and an array of additional intelligence practices can be publicized in a 'Don't Do Drugs' style campaign. "We can count your nasal cells. Don't plot against the state." Unfortunately, this is frightening. And illegal according to the 4th amendment. You may find that a survey is a search and any private data should not be broadcast through it. I do not even appreciate the publication of private property through Google Maps, although it is cool. The addresses could be publicized, since they are public residences, but satellite data is a technical violation of aerospace rights over private property, although arguably flying the satellite there is not.

Hamas and the International Community

I have recently read that Hamas is being rejected by Israel, as is anyone who speaks with Hamas. This is disconcerting. Hamas has some legitimate concerns. However, I echo Ireland's Sing Feng speaker's statement to drop all weapons. All violent and armed conflicts should cease.

Hamas should put down their guns and allow the international community to protect them from regional disputes. The peace process there is far more important than the guns in their hands.

I encourage Hamas to disarm *and* begin working with the International Red Cross and Crescent, Amnesty International, and the American Bar Association and the United Nations to more closely monitor Israeli actions in the region, to garner support and spread information about Zionist offensives against them, rather than shoot back, and try to procure lasting and effective peace measures so the rule of law is upheld in their land not by themselves but by the international accord of humanity.

This will be 1000 times better than any military victory Hamas could hope for.
